Quake moves middle school to raise funds

The students from the Entrada Academy Middle School didn’t know much about Haiti before the January earthquake that claimed hundreds of thousands of lives.

They do now.

The sixth and seventh graders from the school in Longwood wrote letters of encouragement and condolence to school children in Haiti and collected over $1,000 in donations for survivors of the disaster after being moved to act by their parents and by images of the devastation they saw on TV.
